Twenty of South Florida’s Best Restaurants competed for the 3rd Croquetapalooza in a celebration of South Florida’s favorite finger food, the Croqueta. Burger Beast switched things up as they also threw in for good measure the Frita Showdown to find the Best Frita Cubana in the world. In the end, tradition won, and Palomilla Grill took home the judges’ choice award for best croqueta. The people’s choice award, however, went to Coral Gables’ Trust & Co. for its modernized croqueta. El Rey de las Fritas retained its title of best frita for an impressive fourth year in a row at the event’s Frita Showdown. We’re looking forward to Croquetapalooza 2017!
